Alabama Cannabis Coalition — Call to Action

Your voice and participation matter more than ever!
We’re heading into the 2026 Alabama Legislative Session and 2026 Midterm Elections — this is the time to get engaged, stay active, and help move Alabama forward toward Cannabis freedom.
What It Means to Be “Actively Advocating”
To “actively advocate” means you are taking intentional, visible steps to promote the cause of cannabis freedom, hemp rights, and reform in Alabama — not just agreeing in spirit but doing something to make change happen.
To actively advocate means to take deliberate, ongoing action in support of a cause, idea, policy, or group — not just believing in it but doing something to promote it.
Here’s a breakdown:
“Actively” → implies consistent, visible effort — things like speaking out, organizing, writing, meeting with officials, educating others, or mobilizing support.
“Advocate” → means to publicly support or argue in favor of something.
So, to actively advocate means you:
Speak up for your cause (in public, online, or in meetings).
Engage others — recruit supporters, build coalitions, raise awareness.
Influence decision-makers — contact legislators, testify at hearings, write letters or op-eds.
Take tangible action rather than staying passive or silent.
Example:
Someone who supports hemp legalization but only talks about it privately supports the cause.
Someone who writes legislators, attends rallies, and educates the public actively advocates for hemp legalization.
